Work component

·         22 weeks of attachment to companies in:

-          China

-          India

-          Indonesia

-          Vietnam

·         10 AUs will be awarded upon successful completion of the programme

-          For Engineering Students: 10 AUs will be graded and counted towards your Industrial Attachment component in Year 3.

-          For NBS students: 4 AUs will be counted towards your Professional Attachment, while the extra 6 AUs can be used to satisfy your UE criteria.

·         After being awarded a place in GIP, you will be given a list of companies to choose from. Thereafter, there will be interview arrangements by the companies. Your placement in GIP is only confirmed after you have been granted employment.

According to a closed group survey conducted by the NTU GIP Student Club, 100% of NBS students who apply for the Work & Study programmes, gets their placements.

Study component

·         You will attend specially tailored courses covering topics like history, culture, politics and language of the host country.

For example, students under GIP Vietnam will learn basic Vietnamese in school.

·         Additional 6 AUs will be awarded for the study component. This can be used to clear your PE (AHSS) or UE in NTU. Grades for these courses are not transferable i.e they will not affect your CGPA.

·         For Singaporeans/PR, 85% of the course fee will be subsidized by NTU.
